Introduction Lesson. Students will learn about the role of the counselor, reasons a student may meet with a counselor and how to see the counselor.
Introduction to Bullying/ Cyberbullying. Students in all grades will be introduced to and discuss the four school wide anti-bullying rules:
1.) We will not bully others.
2.) We will help students who are bullied.
3.) We will include students who are left out.
4.) When we witness bullying we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
Some classes will also have the opportunity
Kindergarten- Lesson One - Focus on Cooperation, read Swimmy by Leo Leoni
Lesson Two - Focus on feelings, Read My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss
First grade- Bullying and Making friends, book Enemy Pie by Derek Munson
Second - Fifth grades- Begin cyberbullying/ internet safety unit to be taught in conjunction with Ms. Koser during media time.

MLK Day lessons, grades 2-5.
Students in grades 2-5 will discuss MLK and what his dream was. They will also discuss what it means to judge someone by their character not by their race and be able to write down their own dreams.
